4. Replace the computer cover.
5. Turn on the computer and start Windows.
6. When Add New Hardware Wizard window opens, click Next.
7. Click Next.
8. Click Other Location.
9. Insert the V.90 PCI Data/Fax WinModem CD into the CD-ROM drive.
10. Enter Y:\win9x (where Y is the letter of your CD-ROM drive).
11. Click OK.
12. Click Finish.
Installing the modem in Windows 98
To install the modem in Windows 98, do the following:
1. Shut down the computer. Turn off the computer and all attached devices.
2. Remove the computer cover.
3. Install the modem in an available PCI slot.
Note: You might need to attach the full-size PCI bracket included with this option.
4. Replace the computer cover.
5. Turn on the computer.
6. When the Add New Hardware Wizard window opens, click Next.
7. Click Next.
8. Select Search for the best driver for your device, and then click Next.
9. Select Specify a Location.
10. Insert the V.90 PCI Data/Fax WinModem CD into the CD-ROM drive.
11. Enter Y:\win9x (where Y is the letter of the CD-ROM drive).
12. Click OK.
13. Click Next.
14. Click Next.
15. Click Finish.
Installing the modem in Windows NT 4.0
To install the modem in Windows NT 4.0, do the following:
1. Shut down the computer. Turn off the computer and all attached devices.
2. Remove the computer cover.
3. Install the modem in an available PCI slot.
Note: You might need to attach the full-size PCI bracket included with this option.
4. Replace the computer cover.
5. Turn on the computer.
6. Click Start.
7. Click Run.
8. Insert the V.90 PCI Data/Fax WinModem CD into the CD-ROM drive.
9. Type X:\winnt\setup (where X is the letter of the CD-ROM drive) and press Enter.
10. Click Next.
11. Click Next.
12. Click Finish to complete the installation of the device driver.
Installing the modem in Windows 2000
To install the modem in Windows 2000, do the following:
1. Shut down the computer. Turn off the computer and all attached devices.
2. Remove the computer cover.
3. Install the modem in an available PCI slot.
